A community based project by our local animal advocacy collective A.N.I.M.A.L (Animal Nature Investigation through Music, Art & Literature) to redesign and rethink a recreation room for eleven chimpanzees living at the Primate Rescue Center in Danville, Kentucky. The project involved reconsidering shared inter-species spaces, and the way those spaces dictate and define such relationships. The research phase of the project lasted one year, and culminated in a playroom mural for the chimps, and the staff.
